Materials:
Size 7 knitting needles
100% cotton yarn
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Finished cloth measures approximately 8.5 by 8.5 inches
Cast on 39 stitches
Rows 1-4: k1, *p1, k1; repeat from * to end
Row 5: (k1, p1) twice, p31, (p1, k1) twice
Row 6 and remaining even numbered rows:
(k1, p1) twice, k31, (p1, k1) twice
Row 7: (k1, p1) twice, p5, (k1, p9) twice, k1, p5, (p1, k1) twice
Row 9: (k1, p1) twice, p4, (k3, p7) twice, k3, p4, (p1, k1) twice
Row 11: (k1, p1) twice, p3, (k5, p5) twice, k5, p3, (p1, k1) twice
Row 13: (k1, p1) twice, p2, (k7, p3) twice, k7, p2, (p1, k1) twice
Rows 15 and 17: repeat row 13
