100% cotton yarn or yarn of your choice
size 7 needles, or needles appropriate to the yarn you are using
Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Cast on 37 stitches
Row 1: Knit across
Row 2: k1, *k1b, k1; rep from * to end
Row 3: Knit across
Row 4: k2, k1b, *k1, k1b; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2
Rows 5-12: repeat rows 1-4
Row 13: k7, p23, k7
Row 14: k1, (k1b, k1) 3 times, k23, k1, (k1b, k1) 3 times
